Terms for entrepreneurs

The terms that apply when you verify your business and list a confirmed deal. Read them alongside the general terms.

What IronLion is

IronLion is a digital introducer. We verify businesses, list their confirmed deals, and introduce them to investors. We are not a lender, a financial advisor, or a fund manager. We do not hold, pool or manage anyone’s money, and we do not provide investment advice or recommendations.

Every deal concluded through an introduction on IronLion is a private agreement between the entrepreneur and the investor. Its terms, performance and outcome belong to those parties. Investing carries risk, including the risk of losing the money invested.

Deal funding is not a loan

An investor funds your confirmed deal in exchange for an agreed share of its profit, settled when the buyer pays. There is no fixed interest and no long-term debt on your books.

Repayment comes from this deal’s proceeds when the buyer pays, not from fixed monthly instalments. The arrangement is tied to one confirmed order rather than your whole balance sheet.

The investor pays you directly. IronLion never holds the money at any point.

What it costs you

One flat facilitation fee, payable only when a deal is successfully funded. No upfront cost, no subscription, and no percentage taken off your margin every month.

If your deal is not funded, you pay nothing. Fees are disclosed before any deal is listed.

Who can list a deal

You run a registered South African business (CIPC), and you hold a confirmed order or signed purchase agreement.

Your director can pass identity verification, and you are willing to verify your business bank account via open banking.

The deal has a clear cost, delivery plan and payment date.

What we check, and with whose consent

Verification runs at three levels before a deal goes live: the director’s identity, checked against Home Affairs records with biometric face matching; the business, confirmed as registered and in good standing at CIPC with the applicant confirmed as a director; and the money, with bank account ownership and live cash flow verified through open banking, direct from the bank.

Every check runs with the business’s explicit consent, in line with POPIA. Businesses see what will be checked before they agree, and can withdraw consent at any time.

We collect only what verification requires, share verification outcomes — not raw bank data — with investors, and never sell personal information.

Terms of use

Verification reflects checks completed at a point in time against independent sources. It is a statement of what was verified, not a warranty, a prediction, or an endorsement of any deal or party.

Users must provide true, accurate information. Misrepresenting an order, a document or an identity results in removal from the platform and may be reported.

The business pays a flat facilitation fee only when its deal is funded. Investors pay no fee to IronLion. Fees are disclosed before any deal is listed.
